On November 17, 2023, the Guangzhou Auto Show opened. GAC Group announced that it will achieve full solid-state battery loading in 2026, and also debuted the GAC ERA Smart Clean flagship hydrogen electric concept car.
At this car show, GAC Group showcased its five major vehicle brands, GAC Trumpchi, Aion, Hycan, GAC Honda, and GAC Toyota, and released multiple new models. GAC Trumpchi’s new energy MPV model E8 is now available for sale, with an official guide price of 209,800 yuan (29360$) for the E8 PRO version and 229,800 yuan (32160$) for the E8 MAX version, with a comprehensive range of 1200 kilometers. GAC Aion Hycan’s HT and AION Y updated versions were also unveiled. GAC Honda’s pure electric brand e:NP’s second model, e:NP2, made its debut and is set to be launched in the first half of 2024. GAC Toyota’s ninth generation Camry and the new pure electric model, Baozhi 4X, were also showcased.
As we all know, the battery technology of new energy vehicles has always been a focus of attention. Guangzhou Automobile Group has made a breakthrough in the independent research and development of solid-state batteries. When the energy density of the battery reaches 400Wh/kg, it can meet the safety and reliability requirements of the battery in extreme environments. It is planned to be installed in vehicles by 2026.
The GAC ERA Smart Clean flagship hydrogen fuel cell concept car is based on GAC’s latest multi-energy platform architecture, equipped with hydrogen fuel cells and front and rear axle distributed motors, with a maximum of 540 horsepower and a range of over 800km, with zero emissions. GAC Trumpchi has also launched a new technology brand – Trumpchi New Energy i-GTEC, integrating powerful three-electric technology, high-end electronic and electrical architecture, high-performance intelligent driving, emotional intelligent cockpit and other technologies.
GAC Honda debuts its pure electric brand e:NP with the second model e:NP2 Jipai 2, planned to be launched in the first half of 2024, and showcases the all-new Honda e:N concept car. The company will focus on the layout of new power, new intelligent driving, and new intelligent manufacturing in the future. GAC Toyota launches a new energy brand, Bo Zhi, and its first intelligent electric SUV “Bo Zhi 4X” is simultaneously launched with a starting price of 179,800 yuan (25160$). At the same time, the ninth generation of Camry also makes its debut.
