At this year’s auto show, Jianghuai Automobile brought us its new MPV model, the Ruifeng RF8, and officially started pre-sales at the show, with a pre-sale price range of 169,900 to 239,900 yuan (33570$). The new car is positioned as a “new national trend intelligent electric hybrid MPV” and is the first strategic new product of the “MUSE architecture.” The car will be available in two power forms: 3DHT hybrid and fuel. After the new car is launched, it will compete with models such as the GAC M8 and Roewe iMAX8.

At this year’s Chengdu Auto Show, the Ruifeng RF8 made its debut, and now the new car has officially gone on presale at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Ruifeng RF8 is the first strategic new product under the “MUSE architecture,” positioned as a new national trend intelligent hybrid MPV, and is a medium to large MPV product.

In terms of appearance, the new car has a relatively square exterior design, and the overall visual effect looks very atmospheric, yet still fashionable. The front face of the Rui Feng RF8 adopts a large grille design with a large amount of chrome embellishment. The body side lines are simple, and the chrome decorative strips enhance the three-dimensional sense of the car’s side. In addition, the new car will offer four front face designs with different Chinese style charm, including Lingkong, Longlin, Qingyun, and Shanguang.

The Ruifeng RF8 looks relatively straight from the side, and the appropriate chrome trim on the side highlights its luxurious texture. The overall length, width, and height of the vehicle are 5215mm*1895mm*1830mm, with a wheelbase of 3100mm, which is slightly longer than the Buick GL8, but still falls within the golden size range of a mid-to-large MPV.

In terms of the design of the rear of the car, the Ruifeng RF8 appears to be quite standard, with a significant difference from the eye-catching front grille. However, the straight rear end also makes the opening of the trunk more regular, and the head space for third-row passengers is also guaranteed. The rear of the car features red LED daytime running lights, with the brand logo integrated with the taillights, and the hidden rear wiper also improves rear window visibility.

It can be said that this time Jianghuai has kept up with the trend of the times. The 15.6-inch high-definition central control screen uses a narrow bezel design, with a good visual area and display effect. The Hongmeng 4.0 car system provides a rich variety of online entertainment apps, as well as intelligent navigation and voice recognition functions. The card-style desktop design, combined with a logic similar to that of a smartphone, makes it easy for users to get started without any learning curve.

In terms of seating layout, the Ruifeng RF8 will provide users with two seating layouts, 6-seater and 7-seater. The seats of the entire vehicle are equipped with slide rails, which can achieve different cabin modes for different travel scenes. The 6-seater is comfortable and luxurious, while the 7-seater is versatile, meeting the personalized seating space needs of different users. The front seats offer multiple power adjustments, as well as ventilation and heating functions. The second-row seats are designed with zero gravity and ergonomic principles, and also offer power adjustments. The third-row seats can be proportionally folded down in both 6-seater and 7-seater models. By flexibly combining the space of the Ruifeng RF8’s trunk, it can be expanded to a maximum of 2500L. In terms of power, the Jianghuai Ruifeng RF8 hybrid model is equipped with an engine + motor combination, with a comprehensive power of 310kW and a comprehensive torque of 745Nm. The battery capacity is 44.5kWh, with a pure electric range of over 250km and a comprehensive range of over 1200km. In addition to the 3DHT hybrid, the Ruifeng RF8 will also offer a 2.0TGDI+8AT fuel version to better meet the needs of different users. In terms of active and passive safety, the Ruifeng RF8 provides a new cage body structure and a double-sided hot-formed door ring design, with over 70% high-strength steel content and ultra-high-strength hot-pressed steel in key parts, achieving extremely high body torsional stiffness. The entire series comes standard with 6-seat side air curtains and 4 airbags for the driver and front passenger. The side air curtains use a double emitter air curtain over 3 meters long, and rely on intelligent solutions to provide over 9 vehicle active safety configurations including collision warning, automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, and door opening warning.
