On the eve of the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show, Kia’s brand-new all-electric compact SUV, the EV5, made its debut on the exhibition stand. The new vehicle exhibits great attention to detail in its design, whether it’s the division of the touchscreen function area or the front row seats, all of which feature clever and intricate design elements.
In terms of appearance, the new car offers nine paint colors, with dimensions of 4615/1875/1715mm in length, width, and height, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. Despite being positioned as a compact SUV, the actual space performance is impressive.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts a dual 12.3-inch screen design, with a 5-inch small screen in between, displaying air conditioning information. It is equipped with touch and physical function buttons below the screen, making it very comfortable to use.
Equipped with the latest generation ccNC in-car information entertainment system, it strengthens the localization of software applications in China and also incorporates over 30 diverse mini-programs such as videos, e-books, games, and learning, while also providing in-car WeChat functionality.
In terms of space, there is an extra piece on the left side of the front passenger seat, which is very pet-friendly for families with pets. Here, you can also feel Kia’s attention to detail in design.
In terms of power, the Kia EV5 offers three power and range versions: standard range, long range, and long range 4WD. The standard range model is equipped with a 64kWh battery pack and a 160kW motor, with a CLTC range of 530 kilometers. The long range model is equipped with an 88kWh battery and a 160kW motor, with a CLTC range of around 700 kilometers. The GT-Line version will be equipped with an 88kWh battery pack and dual motors in the front and rear, with a combined output power of 230kW.
