IT Home, November 30th – SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first sedan, Wuling Xingguang, started pre-sale at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 17th. The standard version is priced at 93,800 yuan (13250$), and the advanced version is priced at 109,800 yuan (15520$). The latest news shows that this new car will be launched in early December.
According to IT Home, Wuling Xingguang adopts the “Star Wing Aesthetics” design concept, equipped with an expanding wing front grille, starry light group, full LED automatic headlights, and starry tail lights. From the side, the car has a short front overhang and a long rear overhang, giving it a diving posture and a sleek shape. The wheelbase of the new car reaches 2800mm, with dimensions of 4835mm in length, 1860mm in width, and 1515mm in height.
In terms of interior, Wuling Xingguang offers two interior options: mysterious black and flowing sand color. The front seats can be folded back 180° to be level with the rear seats. The vehicle features a dual floating screen design, with the 70 standard model equipped with a 10.1-inch floating intelligent central control screen + 7-inch full LCD instrument panel, and the 150 advanced model offering a 15.6-inch intelligent central control screen + 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel. Wuling Xingguang covers 100% of the 6 high-frequency contact areas with leather and sponge. In addition, the 150 advanced model also provides a 360° high-definition panoramic image.
In terms of power, Wuling Xingguang is equipped with Wuling Lingxi hybrid system, with a wind resistance coefficient of 0.228cd. The WLTC standard comprehensive fuel consumption is claimed to be as low as 3.98L/100km, and the NEDC standard fuel consumption is as low as 3.7L/100km. The CLTC pure electric range has two versions: 70 km and 150 km. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5L hybrid engine platform, with a maximum thermal efficiency of 43.2%. The energy density of the “Shenlian battery” is greater than 165Wh/kg, and the charge and discharge efficiency is greater than 96%.
