On December 2, Cui Dongshu, the secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association, stated that the global trend of new energy vehicles in 2023 is relatively stable. From January to October of this year, the sales of new energy passenger cars reached 11.2 million units, a year-on-year increase of 41%; in October, it reached 1.34 million units, a year-on-year increase of 33%. Due to the high base and the withdrawal of subsidy policies in various countries, the new energy passenger car market in 2023 started off weak but gradually strengthened. From January to October 2023, China’s new energy passenger cars accounted for 62% of the global total, with China’s share reaching 67.5% in October, showing a strong performance.
