On December 10th, Ideal Car officially released OTA 5.0 and announced plans to start full user push on December 19th. This upgrade includes software upgrades for intelligent driving, intelligent space, and intelligent range extension.
In terms of intelligent driving platform, the Ideal L series Max model has been upgraded to AD Max 3.0, with comprehensive upgrades in all-scenario intelligent driving, all-scenario assisted driving, intelligent parking, and active safety capabilities. After the upgrade to OTA 5.0, all-scenario intelligent driving will cover all national highways and urban ring roads, as well as urban roads in 110 cities. In addition, the all-scenario assisted driving function of AD Max 3.0 has the ability to cope with various complex traffic conditions globally, even on roads with blurred or no lane markings, it can still form stable virtual lane markings based on road edges and the trajectory of the leading vehicle to smoothly complete the passage.
In terms of intelligent parking, it can achieve full car blind spot-free driving at low speeds. The new departure parking function allows users to park their vehicles by themselves after getting off the car through mobile phone operation, which can achieve multi-level underground parking space memory and automatic parking, with a supported maximum span of up to 10 levels. In terms of active safety, the AEB capability of AD Max 3.0 has been improved, with enhanced long-distance perception accuracy, covering a working speed range of 4-135km/h.
On the intelligent space platform, the Mind GPT large model has started internal testing in SS 3.0. The Mind GPT not only provides answers and explanations, but also has rich creativity. The new AI Task Master function allows ideal students to understand complex function combinations and automatically create tasks. It also has full-time and full-car wake-up-free, command-free speaking ability. Voice response will support a “less talk” concise mode, and the range of dialects supported has been expanded. In addition, SS 3.0 also brings a car browser application, enriching the in-car entertainment effect with music, videos, and cloud gaming.
The perception and control algorithms of the intelligent range extension platform have undergone crucial optimization, achieving more precise discharge control and increasing the maximum discharge capacity by 4.1%. REV 3.0 helps improve the winter pure electric range of the Ideal L series by 15-20%.
The OTA 5.0 version upgrade is officially scheduled to be fully pushed to the Ideal L series models starting from December 19, 2023. In terms of intelligent driving, the Max model will be the first to upgrade to AD Max 3.0, while the Pro and Air models are planned to upgrade to AD Pro 3.0 in June 2024, achieving high-speed intelligent driving, full-scene assisted driving, more powerful intelligent parking, and active safety under the BEV architecture. In terms of intelligent space and intelligent extended range, the Max, Pro, and Air models will simultaneously upgrade to SS 3.0 and REV 3.0. The OTA 3.4 version of the Ideal ONE is scheduled to start pushing on December 26, adding functions such as countdown of traffic lights on Amap, mobile version of Task Master, co-driver screen protection, parking photo overhead view, and energy consumption distribution statistics.
