The current president of Volvo Car’s Greater China sales company, Pan Hesong, will take on the role of head of business operations for the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Greater China. The Asia-Pacific region is one of the most promising regions for Volvo Cars’ global development, and Mr. Pan’s extensive experience in Europe and Asia is expected to further drive Volvo Cars’ electrification transformation and development in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Pan’s appointment will officially take effect on February 1, 2024.

Yu Kexin, current Vice President of Sales for Volvo Cars in Greater China, will assume the role of Acting President of the Greater China Sales Company starting on January 1, 2024. He will report to Mr. Yuan Xiaolin, Senior Vice President and CEO of the Asia Pacific region at Volvo Car Group. Mr. Yu joined Volvo Cars in 2015 and has made significant contributions to the company’s continued success in the Chinese market over the past 8 years, leading the team to fully promote the electrification development in the Chinese market. With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Mr. Yu has deep insights and rich experience in the Chinese market. Volvo Cars aims to achieve full electrification by 2025, with pure electric vehicles accounting for 50% and the rest being hybrid models, and to become a pure electric luxury car company by 2030. Volvo Cars will continue to accelerate its development according to its strategic plan and promote the pace of electrification transformation.
