On December 12, 2023, Avita Technology announced that Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, has been appointed as the Chairman of Avita Technology. Tan Benhong is no longer the Chairman and CEO of Avita Technology, and has taken on the role of Deputy Secretary of the Changan Automobile Party Committee. Mr. Zhu Huarong, the Party Secretary and Chairman of Changan Automobile, has nearly 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. His third entrepreneurial innovation plan has led to significant results in the transformation of Changan Automobile, making it the first car company to achieve sales of over 20 million units of its own brand. His appointment as Chairman of Avita Technology further advances the progress of Chinese brands and the creation of world-class brands.
During his tenure, Mr. Tan Benhong immediately participated in the preparation of the Avita brand and also became the founding CEO of Avita Technology. During his tenure, Avita successfully launched two heavyweight products, Avita 11 and Avita 12, which were highly recognized in the market.
In this personnel appointment, Mr. Wang Xiaofei, Vice President of Changan Automobile, will assist the Chairman of Avita Technology in the company’s business operations, major project advancement, and key business operations. In the future, under the leadership of the new management team, Avita Technology will accelerate the high-end brand development, aiming to create a world-class Chinese smart electric vehicle brand with leading intelligent technology and disruptive user experience. Currently, Avita has launched two new energy vehicle products, Avita 11 and Avita 12, with the latter receiving overwhelming orders, exceeding 15,000 units in just 6 days after its release.
