On December 18th, IT Home reported that the 2024 model of the Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan has recently appeared on the official website of the US Environmental Protection Agency. The range and energy consumption data have also been revealed, showing some interesting changes compared to the 2023 model.
Mercedes currently offers four EQE sedans, including the rear-wheel drive EQE 350+, the all-wheel drive EQE 350 4Matic and EQE 500 4Matic, and the sporty all-wheel drive AMG EQE. According to official sources, the 2023 model’s EPA range is between 225 and 305 miles, but official data for the 2023 model is not yet available on the EPA website. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE all-wheel drive models have all seen an increase in EPA combined range, except for the rear-wheel drive version which has seen a slight decrease. The biggest surprise comes from the EQE 500 4Matic, with a 38-mile increase in range to 298 miles, a significant 14.6% growth. 2024 Mercedes EQE EPA range: It is not yet clear what improvements have been made to the 2024 models, as Mercedes-Benz’s online configurator still only offers the 2023 models, but it seems that there may be some optimizations to the all-wheel drive powertrain and battery. Previously, all EQE models had a battery capacity of 90.6 kWh. The estimated energy consumption for the 2024 EQE 350+ is 96 MPGe or 351 Wh/mile. The all-wheel drive EQE 350 4Matic has a slightly higher energy consumption of 6.5%, at 90 MPGe: 374 Wh/mile, but the more powerful EQE 500 4Matic has the same energy consumption as the EQE 350+.
The sporty AMG EQE 4Matic + is the most energy-consuming, consuming about 462 Wh per mile, higher than comparable models such as the BMW i5 M60 or i7 M70.
