On December 19th, according to DJI Car’s official public account, Chery Automobile started pre-selling the new iCAR 03 “Smart Driving Edition” yesterday. It is the world’s first mass-produced car with advanced intelligent driving functions and bionic binocular pure visual technology.
According to reports, the vehicle is equipped with the “DJI Carborne Sensing Platform”, using pure visual sensors, without ultrasonic radar, without millimeter wave radar, without lidar, and without high-precision maps.
According to IT Home, the Chery iCAR 03 “Smart Driving Edition” is equipped with a pair of 8-megapixel front visual inertial stereoscopic cameras, a 3-megapixel rear single visual camera, and four 3-megapixel surround view fisheye cameras. DJI claims that the above camera configuration can achieve “memory driving, high-speed navigation, cross-layer memory parking” and other pure visual “L2++” functions.
According to previous reports, the Chery iCAR 03 is a trendy boxy car with dimensions of 4405 × 1910 × 1715 mm and a wheelbase of 2715mm. It is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries and can be customized with a panoramic sunroof and foldable rear seats. In terms of power, the rear-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 135kW and a maximum torque of 184N·m, while the all-wheel-drive version has a total power of 205kW and a maximum torque of 279N·m. The car is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries in three different capacities: 50.65kWh, 65.7kWh, and 69.77kWh, with CLTC ranges of 401km, 501km, and 472km respectively.
