On December 19 that AutoEvolution has exposed spy photos of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class electric version. The new car is expected to be released at the end of 2024 and go on sale in early 2025, with a design expected to be based on the CLA concept car.

Mercedes released the all-new CLA concept car in September, just before the opening of the Munich Motor Show. It is based on an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture, equipped with the new MB.OS operating system, and has L3 autonomous driving capability, with a WLTP range of over 750km.

Returning to this road test car, it features a sleek design with traditional door handles instead of the current trend of hidden ones. The taillights and wheels appear to be test components.

Furthermore, the appearance of this road test car is different from the CLA concept car, possibly drawing on some designs from the second generation EQC/GLC electric vehicle models, such as the headlights, mirrors, and B-pillars.

It is worth mentioning that there has been news that Mercedes-Benz will cancel the naming of EQ class, so the name of this new car is still uncertain, at least for now it should not be EQC.

Mercedes-Benz has previously stated that the mass-produced models on the MMA platform will first be put into production at the Rastatt, Kecskemét, and Beijing Mercedes-Benz factories, which means that this new car will also be introduced to the domestic market in the future. IT Home will continue to follow up. Related reading: “Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept Car Debuts: New MMA Pure Electric Architecture, First Equipped with Self-developed MB.OS Car System”
