Recently, SAIC-GM announced that the sales of new energy vehicles in December reached 18,911 units, a 312.4% year-on-year increase. The annual sales of new energy vehicles in 2023 reached 100,000 units for the first time, a 125.2% year-on-year increase.
In terms of specific models, the Buick E5 sold 35,129 units in 2023; the Weilan 6 sold 45,538 units in 2023; and the Cadillac IQ Rui Ge sold 5,400 units in 2023. Starting in 2024, SAIC-GM will vigorously advance on the new track, launching 8 new energy vehicles, including pure electric vehicles and new generation PHEV smart hybrid vehicles. By 2025, investment in new technologies such as electrification and intelligent networking will reach 70 billion yuan.
