Recently, Tengshi Motors announced its sales for December 2023. The Tengshi D9 achieved the title of best-selling MPV in the Chinese market, with a total of 119,182 units sold from January to December.
In late October 2022, the flagship model of the Tengshi brand, the Tengshi D9, has been selling over 10,000 units per month and the average transaction price exceeds 415,000 yuan (58520$). In January 2023, the Tengshi D9 became the sales champion of “luxury new energy MPVs priced over 300,000 yuan (42300$)”. In October 2023, the Tengshi D9 became the fastest Chinese new energy luxury car to reach 100,000 units in production, breaking the industry record. Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that in 2023, the MPV market saw an annual sales increase of about 18% and a new energy penetration rate of about 20%. In 2022, the penetration rate of new energy in the MPV market was not even 10%.
Using the TSN style, the Tengshi D9 DM-i model is both fuel and electric powered thanks to the DM-i super hybrid technology. In addition, the DM-i model has the advantages of smooth and quiet operation. In terms of comfort and intelligence, it is equipped with intelligent luxury features such as a seven-screen interconnection, full-scene intelligent voice control, and seat massage. Furthermore, the Tengshi D9 is also equipped with the Yunche-C intelligent damping chassis control system, which can intelligently adjust the chassis softness and hardness according to road conditions, balancing handling and comfort.
It is worth mentioning that, while the Tengshi D9 is selling well, it has also won many industry awards such as the “2023 Automotive Industry Quality Innovation Peak Award”. According to the “2023 October China Automobile Resale Value Research Report” by the China Automobile Circulation Association, it ranks first in the one-year resale value of new energy MPVs.
