On December 23, 2023, the Changan Qiyuan A07 took 10 days and 9 nights to travel a total of 3151 kilometers, from the “lowest inland point in the world” – Aiding Lake in Turpan, Xinjiang, to the highest road pass in China – Sangmu La Daban in Tibet! Successfully breaking the Guinness World Record for the highest altitude difference. On January 43, 2024, the Changan Qiyuan Challenge – Smart AI Electric Drive Challenge Guinness Station was held in Lhasa, Tibet, where the certificate was awarded. The Changan Qiyuan A07 endured -30 degrees at the Bosentun Lake and proved the reliability of the vehicle’s driving on the road at an altitude of 5720 meters.
In high-altitude conditions, the power attenuation of traditional fuel vehicles is severe due to thin oxygen. The Changan Qiyuan A07 offers two power options: pure electric and extended-range models. The extended-range model will be equipped with a 1.5L engine, with a maximum power of 70kW and peak torque of 141N·m. The engine will be directly connected to the generator, reducing transmission loss and achieving a high generation efficiency of 96%. The electric motor, as the driving source, has a maximum power of 190kW and torque of 320N·m. The pure electric version has a maximum power of 258 horsepower. Thanks to electric drive, it can perform well even at high altitudes, providing similar power performance as on the plains, even at altitudes exceeding 5000m.
In addition, the Changan Qiyuan A07 is built on the EPA1 architecture, featuring high efficiency, high performance, high intelligence, and high safety. Heating for 5 minutes, the battery temperature rises by 20 ℃, allowing for smooth driving in the ultra-low temperature environment of -30 degrees at the Bos Teng Lake. In terms of safety, the Changan Qiyuan A07’s battery is also equipped with Car+Cloud BMS dual monitoring and digital temperature control management, providing 48-hour all-weather early warning monitoring, accurately predicting battery SOC value, enhancing range, reducing energy consumption, and improving power smoothness. Additionally, it effectively suppresses battery heat propagation through aerospace-grade full battery insulation, efficient cooling, transient pressure relief, overpressure sealing control, all-round short-circuit protection, directional pressure release temperature control, and all-time temperature sensing alarm.
