Chery Fengyun A8 officially launched on January 3, 2024, with the latest C-DM system. The new car has a comprehensive range of over 1400km on a full tank of gas and electricity. It comes in 4 models, with prices ranging from 11.99-14.99 million yuan.
In terms of appearance, the overall design of the Fengyun A8 is generally consistent with the fuel version of the Eritrean 8, but there are many changes in the details. The front face spindle-shaped grille is decorated with a dot-matrix silver element, and the logo also uses the updated new Fengyun brand logo. The lower front bumper adopts a conventional trapezoidal cross design, with large polygonal air ducts on both sides, reflecting a good sense of sportiness.
The new car’s front headlights blend into the grille on both sides, with a very sharp design. The daytime running lights feature an upper line segment and a downward hook design, combined with a lens matrix-style dual-lens LED headlights, creating a highly aggressive overall visual effect.
Looking at the side of the car, the new car adopts the standard three-box sedan body structure. The two waistlines of the body rise rapidly from front to back, along with the prominent lines under the doors, giving the car a more dynamic posture. In terms of body size, the dimensions of the Aierze body are 4780/1843/1469mm, with a wheelbase of 2790mm, which is very competitive compared to the same level of cars.
The rear design is rich in layers, with many horizontal lines that give the car a sporty look. The upper part of the rear end slightly curves up, giving it a playful ducktail. The rear diffuser decorative panel and the dual-sided dual-outlet rectangular exhaust layout continue to be equipped. As for the taillights, the smoked black taillight cavity is concise, with a cross-shaped structure connecting the two headlights, and the English word “CHERY” is embedded in the middle.
The cockpit is full of high-tech style, the entire central control IP adopts a concise route, with clean lines and colorful light decorations that are hidden and rectangular air vents that are hidden within the horizontal control panel. The new car adopts a dual-screen design with a full LCD instrument panel and a multimedia central control display screen, complemented by a bottom-cut three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, 256-color ambient lighting, and yacht-style electronic shift mechanism, showcasing its youthful attributes.
In terms of intelligent configuration, Fengyun A8 will be equipped with Lion 5.0 intelligent interconnection system, which has HMI 5.0 digital interactive interface, making it clearer and more intuitive to use, and also has a certain sense of technology. In terms of online entertainment, it also carries popular APP software and supports the execution of multiple voice commands. In addition, the system also supports Huawei HiCar and Apple Android phone screen projection interconnection, maximizing the use of the car’s entertainment system.
In terms of safety configuration, the new car will also be equipped with lane merging assistance, lane departure warning, lane keeping, road traffic sign recognition, active braking, fatigue driving reminder, full-speed adaptive cruise, reverse side warning, and 360° panoramic image and other L2.5 level driving assistance configurations.
