Recently, Dongfeng Honda announced its full-year sales for 2023, with a total domestic terminal sales of over 610,000 vehicles and a cumulative production and sales of over 8 million vehicles. The new generation CR-V e:PHEV/e:HEV, e:NS1 totaled export sales of 18,695 vehicles, once again setting the benchmark for the joint venture export industry. In terms of popular models, the domestic terminal sales of CR-V totaled 213,515 vehicles for the whole year, while the domestic terminal sales of Civic totaled 177,721 vehicles, continuing to lead the joint venture brand in their respective sub-sectors.

In the face of increasingly fierce market competition, the 11th generation Civic still maintains strong vitality, with a total sales volume of over 170,000 units for the year. Dongfeng Honda’s flagship sedan, the all-new Insight, has a cumulative sales volume of 56,981 units in 2023; the Elysion has a total terminal sales volume of 30,197 units for the year. In addition, the XR-V has a total terminal sales volume of 55,995 units for the year; and the HR-V has a total terminal sales volume of 32,963 units for the year.

In 2023, Dongfeng Honda launched a new energy brand ‘Lingxi’ around the strategic declaration of “change, rebirth, and creating the future”, renewing the brand value proposition of “Stay Ahead technology, intelligence, and passion”. At the same time, Dongfeng Honda has built the ‘Benjia’ user brand, strengthening the deep connection between the brand and users through the Benjia Day user ecological conference and the ‘symbiosis, co-construction, and co-creation’ carnival party, depicting the ‘home’ for 8 million car owners.

In 2024, Dongfeng Honda will fully enter the pure electric market. The e:NS2, Lingxi L, and SUV series will meet users this year. Around the e:NS pure electric brand, Dongfeng Honda will continue to launch new genre EVs for the future. Among them, the e:NS brand’s second product, the e:NS2, has previously appeared at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The new car is positioned as a “pure electric hunting coupe,” inheriting Honda’s reliable quality and consistent dynamic driving fun. It adopts a unique “hunting light aesthetics” new design and features a simple and exquisite “hunting enjoyment cockpit,” presenting a style with a strong sense of future technology.

As a new energy brand that innovates the joint venture electric transformation model, Linsen will create high-quality and cost-effective new energy vehicles to meet the travel needs of different users. The first model, Linsen L, designed for the Z generation by the young design team of Dongfeng Honda, has been successively exhibited in Wuhan, Guangzhou, and other places. It leads the new joint venture era of the Chinese automobile market with ultimate personality, pure fun, and reassuring protection for young users.

In the future, Dongfeng Honda will rely on three core electric intelligent hybrid technology brands, e:NS electric brand, and Lingshi new energy vehicle brand, and will build a comprehensive layout around the EV, HEV, and PHEV new energy technology routes, covering all levels of segmented markets to construct an electrified product lineup. It is expected that by 2025, the proportion of Dongfeng Honda’s electrified products will exceed 50%. By 2027, Dongfeng Honda will no longer release new fuel vehicles, and by 2030, it will have launched more than 10 pure electric vehicle models.
