CLA Concept Car – North American Debut The CLA concept car, the first Mercedes-Benz model to use the MB.OS operating system, made its North American debut at this year’s CES. Designed on the new Mercedes-Benz modular architecture platform, the CLA concept car redefines the new generation of segmented markets with innovative electric drive systems and forward-thinking sustainable development concepts. Representing the ultra-high energy efficiency of the electric era, the CLA concept car has a single charge range of over 750 kilometers and an energy consumption of about 12 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers. The excellent energy efficiency is due to the new electric drive unit, which uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and achieves an energy conversion efficiency of up to 93% from the battery to the wheels during long-distance driving. The CLA concept car supports high-power DC fast charging with a peak power of over 300 kilowatts, adding 400 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes. The MMA platform will produce four models, including a four-door coupe, a five-door shooting brake, and two SUV models.
