On January 11th, Bugatti announced the delivery of the final Chiron with a 1500 horsepower W16 engine to Canadian oil and gas company executive Bilal Hydrie.
The “last” Chiron to be unveiled does not mean the end of the entire Chiron series. Bugatti will continue to produce other models of Chiron with 1600 horsepower and other custom models.
This new car features exclusive black and bronze dual-tone paint, with the “16” emblem inside the front grille representing the number of cylinders in the Chiron. Additionally, the engine compartment of the new car is also designed in bronze, with a bronze line on the roof extending to the rear of the vehicle, creating an integrated effect with the bronze decoration in the center console, giving it a powerful look.
According to motor1, Bugatti’s successor to the Chiron will ditch the existing 8.0-liter V16 engine in favor of a V8 hybrid powertrain. The mysterious new car is expected to debut this year and go into production in 2026. Bugatti introduced the Chiron as the successor to its top-tier supercar Veyron in 2016, calling it the fastest and most powerful car in the company’s history. The limited-edition model was limited to 500 units and has already sold out. The Bugatti Chiron is equipped with an 8-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine, with a maximum output of 1500hp/6700rpm and a maximum torque of 163kgm/2000-6000rpm. Its 0-100 km/h acceleration is only 2.4 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 420km/h for safety reasons, with a theoretical maximum speed of about 463km/h. Bugatti has said that the successor to the Chiron has been in development for over two years and is planned to begin production in 2026. According to previous reports from IT Home, Bugatti’s design director has said that their first all-electric supercar may not be on the market until after 2030, as the brand will focus on hybrid cars throughout the entire 2020s.
