Lexus’s new generation GX model has landed in the Chinese market today, with three different configurations priced between 778,000 and 888,000 yuan (124880$). The GX 550h Pioneer Edition is priced at 778,000 yuan (109410$), the GX 550h OVERTRAIL Edition is priced at 798,000 yuan (112230$), and the GX 550h Lingfeng Edition is priced at 888,000 yuan (124880$).
The new car features a brand new design language, with a boxy appearance and a family-style spindle grille on the front. It has dimensions of 4950/1980/1865mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm, with options for five or six seats. In terms of features, the car has 64-color ambient lighting, a new multimedia system, full-color HUD display, Mark Levinson sound system, and streaming rearview mirror. It also supports 1500W external power output. The new car has a non-load-bearing body structure, with the 550h model equipped with a 2.4T hybrid power system, 243kW total power, and H4 high-speed, L4 low-speed all-wheel drive modes for different road conditions. It also has central and rear axle differential locks. According to IT Home, the new Lexus GX, a sub-brand of Toyota, has already been unveiled in China and will be launched in the country this year. It is worth mentioning that the new Lexus GX and Prado have almost identical side body styling.
