According to reports, the all-new BMW 5 Series 540i model is equipped with the updated BMW TwinPower Turbo 3.0T inline-six-cylinder gasoline engine + 48V mild hybrid system, with a maximum power of 381 horsepower and a peak torque of 540 Nm, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.7 seconds. Public data shows that the old 540i Fashion Edition M Sport Package model was discontinued in February 2023, with an official price of 609,900 yuan (85830$) in the Chinese market. The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 340 horsepower, a peak torque of 450 Nm, and an official 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.1 seconds. In terms of parameters, the performance of the all-new 540i model has been partially improved. BMW Group announced earlier this month that the all-new domestically produced BMW 5 Series long-wheelbase version has officially rolled off the production line at its Shenyang production base, and the new car will be delivered nationwide early this year.

The dimensions of the new generation 5 Series are 5175/1900/1520mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3105mm. BMW is introducing the automatic lane change function with sight confirmation, optimized for Chinese customers’ physical features and driving habits, including facial, head, and body type modeling training. In terms of interior, the new BMW 5 Series features a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a 14.9-inch touchscreen in the central control area, along with a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system and four-zone automatic air conditioning with independent control for the rear seats. The rear seats also offer a 31-inch floating screen with 8K resolution and real-time connectivity. In terms of power, the new BMW 5 Series petrol version is expected to be equipped with a 2.0T engine and a 48V mild hybrid system, with a maximum power of 190kW and peak torque of 400N·m.
