BMW Group announced tonight that the all-new BMW 5 Series will officially launch on January 25. The new car rolled off the production line at the Shenyang production base on January 2 and will begin nationwide delivery early this year.
According to Yiche.com today, the new car may offer 7 fuel models and 5 pure electric models to choose from, as well as long and short wheelbase models. IT Home summarizes the currently known configuration information of the new car as follows: The car was previously released overseas in May of last year and officially appeared at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. In terms of appearance, the car adopts BMW’s new generation design language, with dimensions of 5175/1900/1520mm and a wheelbase of 3105mm.
The new car is specially customized for the Chinese market. It has a 31-inch suspended mega screen in the rear, with 8K resolution and real-time connectivity. The new BMW 5 Series has a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and a 14.9-inch touch screen in the central control area, as well as a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system and a four-zone automatic air conditioning system that can be independently controlled in the rear.
In terms of power, the gasoline version will offer the 525Li and 530Li models to choose from, each equipped with high and low power versions of the 2.0T engine, with maximum power of 156kW and 211kW respectively. The pure electric i5 single motor model’s declaration information shows its maximum power is 250kW.
