According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers earlier this month, China’s car production and sales reached 30.161 million and 30.094 million respectively in 2023. The top ten car manufacturers in terms of sales in 2023 include SAIC Group, China FAW, BYD Co., Changan Automobile, GAC Group, Dongfeng Company, Geely Holding, Chery Holding, BAIC Group, and Great Wall Motors. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers pointed out that compared with the previous year, BYD Co. and Chery Holding had a more significant increase in sales, while Geely Holding, BAIC Group, and Great Wall Motors also saw double-digit growth in sales. Changan Automobile, China FAW, and GAC Group saw a slight increase in sales, while sales of other companies decreased to varying degrees.
