On January 25th, the all-new electric Porsche Macan made its official debut. The all-new electric Macan is now available for pre-order in the Chinese market with limited-time “early bird exclusive” benefits. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the all-new electric Macan will be announced during the Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. It is Porsche’s first model developed on the all-new electric platform PPE, and also the second electric vehicle/first electric SUV model. The new car uses an 800V architecture and is equipped with a dual-motor power system, with a total output power of up to 612 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm. It is paired with a 100 kWh battery pack and can achieve a maximum charging power of 270 kW. The WLTP range exceeds 500 kilometers. The new car also features an air suspension system, rear-wheel steering system, and rear axle electronic differential lock.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the latest design language of the Porsche family. Especially the front of the car is very sporty, and the rear of the car adopts a through-type taillight, which continues the design of previous models and injects new design concepts and thinking. The new car is equipped with separate headlights, and the front air intake of the new car is also equipped with an active cooling air deflector. In addition, the new car also has a major highlight, which is equipped with an automatically extendable rear spoiler. In addition to having a more exaggerated visual effect, when the vehicle is driving on the highway, the rear spoiler of the new car can be adjusted to the energy-saving position, the air deflector is closed, and the chassis height is lowered. It has a more stable body posture and a lower drag coefficient.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts the latest multi-screen design style of Porsche, including a 12.6-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 10.9-inch central control screen, and a 10.9-inch entertainment screen in front of the co-driver. Some physical buttons for commonly used functions are retained below the air conditioning vents. It is equipped with a brand-new family-style three-spoke sports steering wheel.
The all-new electric Macan is built on an 800V architecture, with a maximum charging power of 270kW at 800V charging stations. Official data shows that it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes. The new car will be equipped with a 100kWh lithium battery, and WLTP range will exceed 500km.
In terms of power, the new car uses permanent magnet synchronous motors on both the front and rear axles, with a combined output power of 450 kilowatts, equivalent to 612 horsepower, and a maximum torque of over 1000 Newton meters. In addition, the new car is equipped with Porsche’s active suspension management system, with dual-valve damping technology, air suspension, rear axle lateral lock, and rear axle steering system.
