On January 28, 2024, the official modified brand of JETOUR, JETOUR JMK, officially launched its first product, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing, at the 2024 Star and Moon Exemplar Awards. The new car is based on the current Traveler model, with added off-road features and a more hardcore design. The new car is priced at 219,900 yuan (30990$), limited to 3000 units, and will officially start delivery at the end of March.
In terms of exterior design, the new car is based on the current Voyager, still featuring the popular retro square box design elements, and adding the “Silver Dragon Wing” design aesthetic, with space-reinforced geometric front face, spaceship door-style wheel hubs, and exclusive designs such as the starship space silver car clothes.
The new car has a new front bumper, making the appearance more rugged and increasing the approach angle. The engine hood lines are more pronounced and the grille has a new style. The “JETOUR” brand logo has been replaced with a LED light strip, and the overall look is more powerful with a blacked-out treatment.
The side profile remains solid and heavy, with a full off-road style. The front and rear fenders have a very prominent and muscular design. The thick black wheel arches protrude outward, and the lower wheel arches are connected to the central footboard, giving the overall appearance a wild feel.
In the details, the new car also added a storage platform on its roof, meeting the convenience of carrying large luggage for outdoor travel. It also replaced the larger fixed pedals, making it easier for passengers to get on and off the car.
In addition, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing has also been equipped with a new style of wheels, the blacked-out enclosed style looks very futuristic, and the rivet design style on the edge of the wheels further highlights the wildness. In terms of tires, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing is also equipped with 255/55 R20 all-terrain off-road tires, the rough tread pattern can provide sufficient grip on unpaved roads.
In terms of the rear of the car, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing adds light group protection and other equipment on the basis of the current Traveler’s square shape and small backpack, making it look more imposing overall. In addition, as a modified car, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing also has higher playability.
In addition, the new car also pioneered the mortise and tenon structure, and the original factory reserved 40+ expansion upgrade interfaces, unlimited expansion of usage scenarios, allowing users to have a larger space for personalized customization. In terms of body size, the dimensions of the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing are 4782/2036/1960mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2800mm. Due to the addition of exterior kits, there are slight differences in three-dimensional dimensions compared to the current models.
In the interior, the overall design of the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing still adopts the design style of the current Traveler. The center console is a traditional T-shaped layout, but the sharp lines make the interior look more powerful. At the same time, the flat-bottomed four-spoke steering wheel and the 15.6-inch suspended central control screen add a strong sense of technology to the interior.
The car is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, with AI intelligent butler and FOTA intelligent upgrade. In terms of intelligent driving, the new car is equipped with an L2.5 level intelligent assisted driving system, including FCW forward collision warning system, TSR traffic speed limit sign intelligent recognition, LDW lane departure warning, BSD intelligent blind spot monitoring, LCA assisted lane change system, DOW door opening warning system, RCTA rear cross traffic collision warning system, AEB automatic braking system, TJA traffic congestion driving assistance, LKA intelligent lane keeping assistance, ICA intelligent following, ACC adaptive cruise control, APA fully automatic parking, and other driving assistance functions, as well as DMS fatigue driving monitoring and 540° panoramic image. In terms of power, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing is equipped with a 2.0TD engine, with a maximum power of 187kW and a maximum torque of 390N·m. In terms of transmission, it is matched with the 7DCT gearbox provided by Magna. In terms of chassis, the Traveler Silver Dragon Wing still has front MacPherson + rear multi-link independent suspension. In terms of four-wheel drive system, it also comes standard with XWD automatic intelligent four-wheel drive, using BorgWarner’s sixth generation intelligent torque manager + intelligent limited slip differential lock, automatic switching of four-wheel drive mode, automatic distribution of rear wheel torque, and intelligent power distribution. In the specially designed X mode, the Jetour Traveler can also intelligently switch between multiple driving modes including S sport, N standard, E economy, snow, mud, and rock, and comes with a crawl mode.
