On February 1st, it was reported that the official images of the BYD Yuan UP have been released. The new car is expected to be launched in March this year. It is positioned as a small SUV, between the Yuan Pro and Yuan PLUS, with a price range of 100,000 to 150,000 yuan (21120$). The BYD Yuan UP is built on the e-platform 3.0 and will be equipped with a 130kW single motor, with an expected range of over 400km.
In terms of exterior design, the Yuan UP adopts a cross-border style design. The front face features a new design style, with a black decorative panel inside the front enclosed grille and the Yuan logo in seal script in the center, overall, the recognition is still relatively high.
The side shows a more obvious crossover style, with a compact and square shape, and a good tough style. In terms of details, the new car also uses the popular hidden door handles. The new car has dimensions of 4310/1830/1675mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2620mm.
At the rear of the car, the taillights feature a continuous light group, and the shape of the light cavity shows the family design elements of BYD. With the tail wing on the roof and the two-color decorative panel on the bumper, it reflects the youthful nature of the whole car. In terms of power, the Element UP is built on the e platform 3.0. According to previous declaration information, the car uses a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with a model number of TZ200XSW, with a maximum power of 130kW. In terms of endurance, the new car is expected to have a pure electric endurance of over 400km.
