Recently, Wuling Motors officially announced the launch of its new generation of new energy commercial vehicles – Wuling Yangguang. The new car is equipped with Wuling Red 1 battery, making it Wuling’s first new energy commercial vehicle based on a brand new native new energy platform.

In 2010, Wuling launched the “Wuling Hongguang” commercial vehicle, and now Wuling is introducing the “Wuling Yangguang” to focus on new energy commercial vehicles. Wuling Yangguang is positioned as a new generation of ultra-large space new energy commercial vehicles, and is the first to use the Wuling Red 1 battery. In terms of product strength, Wuling Yangguang’s core communication proposition is “super reliable, super versatile, and super drivable,” aiming to meet the multi-scenario needs of the new generation of wealth creators.
Wuling Yangguang has a vehicle size of 4985*1800*1975mm, with a long wheelbase of 3050mm. The exterior features dynamic technology with the colors of mountain and sea blue-gray and polar white. It uses German imported aluminum powder and pearlescent powder, as well as PPG paint from the top 500 companies in the United States, which is not only atmospheric and beautiful, but also resistant to scratches. Based on the super reliable Wuling Red No. 1 battery, Wuling Yangguang can achieve 6.6Kw AC charging, making it convenient to charge anytime, anywhere. The flip-type double-hinged cover design facilitates fast and convenient charging. From 20% to 100% battery, the 230km version only takes 5.5 hours, while the 300km version is expected to take 6.9 hours. From vehicle safety to battery life and maintenance, Wuling Yangguang provides a comprehensive and worry-free travel experience. The Wuling Yangguang battery with Wuling Red No. 1 battery is more durable. In actual tests, the Wuling Red No. 1 battery retains over 80% of its life after over 4000 charge and discharge cycles, and is not afraid of high temperatures, fire, water and dust intrusion, and thermal shock. The Wuling Red No. 1 battery has an IP68 waterproof rating and uses high-level flame-retardant V-0 silicone-based temperature-resistant sealing design, with excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance. It seals the gaps between the battery shell and the connecting parts, effectively preventing moisture intrusion.
Wuling Yangguang has a super spacious 6.5m³ space, a cargo length of 2830mm, a maximum cargo width of 1680mm, and a height of 1365mm. It can accommodate 9 mattresses at once, with a cargo volume far exceeding that of its competitors. Wuling Yangguang has a super strong load capacity of 1249kg, with a vehicle body made of high-strength cage, the largest size 12-layer thick tire fabric tires in its class, a motor power of 60kW, a maximum torque of 220N·m, an average motor efficiency of 85%, and a peak efficiency of up to 95%. It can easily climb 30% steep slopes. Based on a high-strength cage body, Wuling Yangguang provides all-round protection for battery safety. Its high-strength steel frame accounts for 83%; the roof can withstand a maximum pressure of 6.8 tons.
