On February 5th that the latest batch of “Road Motor Vehicle Production Enterprises and Products Announcement” from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology includes information about Chery’s new extended-range version of the Star Era ET, expected to debut in the first half of 2024.
In terms of appearance, the car features the common enclosed front face design of new energy vehicles, paired with a continuous LED light group, with the brand’s English logo located below the light group. In addition, the car is equipped with hidden door handles on the side to reduce wind resistance while driving; the rear of the car adopts a continuous smoked black taillight design, paired with a roof spoiler.
The declaration information shows that the new car is 4955/1975/1698mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm, and 19-inch and 20-inch wheels are optional. The car comes with a panoramic sunroof as standard, and optional features include wheel rims, red calipers, front grille, rear mirror camera, privacy glass, metal gray anti-scratch strips, front and rear metal gray logos, front bumper metal gray grille trim, fender trim, radar, and so on. In terms of power, the car’s range extender has a displacement of 1499ml, a maximum power of 115 kilowatts, and a top speed of 180km/h.
IT Home noticed that the Chery Star Journey Star Era ET pure electric vehicle completed its application in October last year, equipped with a maximum 230kW motor, and its appearance is basically the same as the extended-range model. The first mass-produced car of the Chery Star Journey Star Era ET was offline on January 19, based on the new E0X high-end smart electric platform.
