On February 23, the BYD Dolphin Honor Edition was officially launched, with a price range of 9.98-12.98 million yuan and related car purchase rights announced. This is BYD’s launch of a car with the same high cost performance as the Qin PLUS and the Honor Edition of the Destroyer 05, which starts at 7.98 million yuan. The Dolphin Honor Edition basically maintains the existing car design in terms of exterior and interior, adds two new body colors, Atlantis Grey and Heat Wave Crimson, and upgrades to a four-link independent suspension.
The exterior design still follows the familiar “ocean aesthetic” design concept, with the new car adopting a new style of low drag wheels, rear privacy glass, and two new body colors: Atlantis Grey and Heatwave Red. The car measures 4125/1770/1570mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm.
The interior changes are not significant. The focus is on optimizing details. The front row has added a Type-C charging port and upgraded to 50-watt wireless charging. The front seats will also be equipped with ventilation in addition to heating, and will have a four-way adjustable steering wheel and a two-level cargo compartment cover. This has improved the driving experience to a certain extent.
The Dolphin Glory edition is equipped with two motors, 95 horsepower and 170 horsepower. In addition to the 420km and 401km range models, a new entry-level 302km model has been added. The new car will also upgrade to a four-link independent suspension for better driving experience.
