On February 25th, the pure electric supercar YOUNG U9, under the YOUNG Motor, was launched with a price of 1.68 million yuan. The YOUNG U9 is positioned as a million-level pure electric performance supercar, with the two core technologies of Easy Four Square and Cloud Car-X, and has an extremely lightweight body, excellent aerodynamic design, leading intelligent driving assistance system in the supercar industry, and a new way of interaction between people and cars, which can be said to subvert consumers’ perception of supercars.
U9 embodies the “Time and Space Gateway” family design language, with unique proportions, tension, and a sense of power, presenting the unique temperament of a pure electric supercar.
U9 offers three car paint color options: Vermilion Red, Monday Silver, and Argyle Purple, paired with three interior colors: Red Jasper, Sunstone Orange, and Nebula Purple.
In terms of power, the U9 is equipped with the Easy Four Power System, with four independent motors driving the vehicle. The maximum total power of the four motors reaches 960kW, with a maximum torque of 1680N·m and a top speed of 21000rpm. According to official data, the new car has a tested top speed of 309.19km/h, a tested 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.36s, a 0-400m acceleration time of 9.78s, and a lap time of 2 minutes and 17.65 seconds.
The intelligent fully active vehicle body control system, Yunwei-X, consists of core components such as electronic controlled dampers, active power source, binocular cameras, and intelligent computing center. It can adjust the longitudinal travel of the vehicle body by 75mm and lift a single axis at a maximum speed of 500mm/s, with a maximum lifting force of over 1t per wheel.
U9 is equipped with an excellent thermal management system, with the total power of the radiator fan increased by 287%, the total area of the radiator increased by 47%, the total power of the cooling water pump increased by 214%, the power of the compressor increased by 100%, and the maximum cooling capacity increased by 100%, which can support unlimited ejection starts. The blade battery also comes with a new generation of battery thermal management system, doubling the cooling capacity. In addition, the U9 is equipped with dual-gun supercharging technology, providing a maximum charging power of 500kW. In terms of braking, the new car comes standard with carbon-ceramic brake discs, reducing weight by over 70% compared to ordinary cast iron discs, while increasing high-temperature resistance by over 90% and effectively avoiding heat decay under 1400℃ conditions.
The entire vehicle is equipped with 12 sets of active and passive aerodynamic kits. The standard active rear wing and active diffuser can provide a maximum of 200kg of downforce, with the option to switch freely between optimal downforce and optimal wind resistance. The optional full carbon fiber swan neck rear wing can provide a maximum of 280kg of downforce. The U9 supercar integrates super carbon cabin, super hybrid structure, and a new generation of CTB three innovative technologies. The measured torsional stiffness of the entire vehicle reaches 54425N·m/°, and the roof can withstand a compressive load of over 11 tons on one side. The U9 will also be equipped with the latest DiPilot intelligent driving system, standard front and rear collision warning, active braking, lane keeping, and lane departure warning, and 8 airbags to further enhance passenger safety.
Looking up to U9, it not only has outstanding performance, but also a more spacious cabin, dual-surround cabin, precisely designed cabin layout, 14-way power-adjustable seats, and equipped with the Danaher Platinum Evidence Series sound system, providing a more comfortable driving experience. In terms of UI design, the new car combines the expression of modern minimalism and future technology, with multiple preset themes. In terms of intelligence, U9 adopts the top intelligent platform DiLink150 in the field of racing, using a customized 4nm process chip. For track driving, U9 has created an intelligent racing assistant function, providing full-process track driving services, covering information on nearly 30 track venues nationwide, helping drivers to preview before the race and review after the race, and gain improvement from every track experience. On the track, U9 can achieve full software parameterized control, maximizing the creation of personalized exclusive driving pleasure.
In addition, with the blessing of Yun Che-X, when the first batch of U9s is delivered, it will come standard with three entertainment functions: “dance mode”, “show as you like”, and “track warm-up”, demonstrating the user’s personality.
