On March 1st, in Shanghai, the first pure electric vehicle under the Ideal brand, and also the first MPV model, the Ideal MEGA, was officially launched. The new car is priced at 559,800 yuan (77780$). The new car is designed based on the concept of “big family”, and can meet the travel needs of the whole family in terms of space and configuration. The interior of the Ideal MEGA is well-equipped for comfort. The front seats have heating, ventilation, and 16-point massage functions. The driver’s seat also has a magic carpet feature that automatically adjusts cushion firmness based on driving duration. The passenger seat has a queen-size leg rest with an electrically adjustable angle of up to 65°.
The second-row seats have 16 massage points, 270° wrap-around heating, seat ventilation, 70° recline, and 78° adjustable leg rest. It also has a large table top, independent 50W wireless phone fast charging panel. In addition, it is equipped with an electric sliding rail with a maximum length of 500mm, and a maximum leg space of 1278mm. The central aisle of the third row is 160mm wide, and the backrest angle supports a maximum of 36 degrees of electric adjustment.
All three screens have been upgraded to Samsung’s fourth-generation OLED technology with a resolution of 3K. The rear screen has also been upgraded to 17 inches. The car’s processing chip has been upgraded to the Qualcomm 8295 chip, providing faster operation and response speed, as well as adding the function of controlling the second-row seats. Voice control is integrated with Mind GPT, providing a car assistant, travel assistant, entertainment assistant, and a children’s encyclopedia teacher.
The power system consists of a front asynchronous auxiliary drive with 155kW and a rear synchronous main drive with 245kW, with a total peak power of up to 400kW and a maximum torque of 542Nm, with an acceleration time of 5.5 seconds per hundred kilometers. The Ideal-Ningde Times Kirin 5C battery uses 5C ultra-fast charging technology, requiring only 12 minutes to recharge for a 500-kilometer range, with a maximum power of over 520kW and a minimum power of no less than 300kW when charging from 10% to 80%.
Standard intelligent dual-chamber air suspension + CDC variable damping shock absorber greatly improves handling stability and ride comfort, with a suspension adjustment range of 70mm and multiple modes to choose from. The full-scene intelligent driving includes city/highway leading, perception of irregular traffic lights, intelligent parking, and full-speed domain AEB.
