On March 8th, the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P made its official debut, marking the brand’s first new energy mid-size sedan. It will form a twin star combination with the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P to create an “SUV + sedan” lineup. The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P will inherit the design concept of The Next Day concept car, combining youthful trendy elements with luxurious features to create a new model that embodies fashion, space, luxury, and driving control.
In terms of appearance, the Lynk 07 EM-P uses a family-style daytime running light design, with a highly recognizable double “h” shape. As a sedan, the overall daytime running lights will extend further back, creating a stronger sporty atmosphere. The split-style headlight assembly has also been retained, presenting a through-type design that increases the vehicle’s sense of hierarchy while enhancing its mysterious charm and technological attributes.
The entire front bumper is designed in a semi-closed style, effectively reducing the drag coefficient and ensuring the vehicle gets sufficient cooling. The lower part of the bumper reflects the vehicle’s appeal to young users, and the upward decorations on both sides add agility to the entire front end.
The new car measures 4827x1900x1480mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2843mm, making it a mid-size sedan. The overall body lines are smooth, with more decorative elements on the doors for a layered look. The body features a two-tone color scheme, with the roof and side mirrors painted black, appealing to young consumers.
In terms of the hub, the new car will adopt a two-color whirlwind hub design and will provide a choice of 18-inch and 19-inch hubs. The hidden door handles are also a “standard” for new energy vehicles nowadays, and the Lynk 07 EM-P is no exception, which can effectively reduce the drag coefficient. The C-pillar part uses a reverse shark fin design, which is also a design that many Lynk models have already applied, making the whole car look more aggressive. The sleek design not only effectively increases the space inside the car, but also effectively reduces the drag, and visually elongates the overall body proportion.
The design of the rear of the car is iconic and recognizable, especially the through-type tail light group, and the crystal-style design retains a strong sense of three-dimensionality and impact when lit. In addition, the car also comes with a small tail pressure design, which is very in line with the aesthetic of young consumers. The styling of the rear bumper is even more powerful, with the overall design echoing the front bumper, and a large decorative panel running through the entire rear of the car. The high-gloss black color scheme, combined with the middle wind deflector design, gives the entire rear bumper an instant soul. In terms of interior design, the Lynk 07 EM-P will offer two color schemes, the main one being the gray-toned Dawn Light and the white-toned Sunny Sky Warm Clouds, both of which will be accentuated with deep sea blue as a secondary color, showcasing a unique side.
In terms of materials, the Lynk 07 EM-P also inherits the family’s excellent style, using more skin-friendly and luxurious materials in every corner, including seats, door panels, and central control dashboard. It also adopts a contrasting color design to highlight the sporty attributes while ensuring the vehicle’s exquisite beauty and luxurious atmosphere. In terms of technology, the Lynk 07 EM-P will be equipped with a 15.4-inch flexible screen, which can be adjusted freely at an angle of ±15° to meet the needs of the driver and front passenger. At the same time, the screen will also carry more functions, including online functions, mobile connectivity, voice interaction, and more, enhancing the sense of technology and convenience.
In addition, the car will be equipped with 50W wireless charging and 60W type-C dual fast charging. The wireless charging panel also has a wind-cooling system underneath to ensure the safety of phone charging. For the convenience of passengers, the Lynk 07 EM-P is also equipped with 6 charging ports to meet the needs of both front and rear passengers.
In terms of seats, the new car uses a full leather wrap design for the front and rear seats. The support and comfort of the seats are excellent, with added features such as power adjustment and seat heating, making driving and riding more comfortable and enjoyable. In terms of power, the new car will feature a 1.5T four-cylinder hybrid engine and a 3-speed DHT Evo dual-motor electric drive system, with a maximum combined power of 280kW and a maximum combined torque of 615N·m. The WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 0.99L per 100 kilometers, and the CLTC comprehensive range exceeds 1400km.
