The new car will be the first to be equipped with the new Blue Whale hybrid engine, which offers better performance in energy consumption and driving experience. The Deep Blue Super Range 2.0 includes the Original Force Super Electric Drive 2.0, Original Force Intelligent Range Extension 2.0, and the Golden Shield Battery 2.0.
The Force Super Electric Drive 2.0 is an eight-in-one electric drive system with higher integration and can achieve extended range, pure electric, and hydrogen-electric multiple power combinations. It also supports 450V & 800V platforms.
Technically, it also uses built-in cooling water and oil passages, dual-channel oil spray cooling technology, and 0.2mm ultra-thin low-loss permanent magnet rotor silicon steel sheets.
Compared to the 1.0 version, the weight of the electric drive is reduced by 17%; the volume of the electric drive is reduced by 10%; the weight of the electronic control is reduced by 23.8%; and the volume of the electronic control is reduced by 32.4%. The total power density of the electric drive reaches 2.53 kW/kg, and the total operating efficiency of the electric drive reaches 92.59%. For the next generation electric drive system, the total operating efficiency can be further increased to 94%.
In terms of Force Intelligence 2.0, Deep Blue has the new Blue Whale engine, with a mass production of the highest thermal efficiency of 44.28%, equipped with a super high-pressure fuel injection system of 500bar, a 1.45 stroke-to-bore ratio, 150mJ high-energy ignition technology, and a 16:1 super high compression ratio. It can achieve 3.63 degrees of electricity saved for every 1 degree of fuel saved.
In terms of the drive motor, the oil-cooled asynchronous auxiliary drive motor is used, with lower power loss. It also has a peak power of 131kW, providing stronger power. In addition, the hydrogen-powered version is also being developed simultaneously. Blue said that the ultimate technology for extended range may be hydrogen-powered extended range.
The Golden Armor Battery 2.0 uses high stability standard battery cells. The battery has a cycle life of over 5000 times and a SOC calculation error of ≤3%, making the calculation more accurate.
The battery is designed with high safety cells and utilizes technologies such as real-time temperature sensing alarm, directional pressure relief, instant pressure release, and overpressure sealing to achieve zero thermal runaway.
In addition, the Golden Armor Battery also adopts CTP technology, with an integration efficiency of 86%; a 2.9% increase in volume utilization; a reduction of 11.9mm in the Z-direction space of the battery pack, which can obtain higher interior space in the car. At the same time, it continues to be equipped with the world’s first wide-temperature range micro-core high-frequency pulse heating technology, which improves power performance by 55% in low-temperature conditions and reduces charging time by 30%. Under the condition of -30 degrees Celsius, the fast charging time from 0-80% can be shortened by 40%. It is worth mentioning that starting from 2024, the Deep Blue Super Long Range will orderly upgrade to 3C charging, and the battery capacity from 30% to 80% will only require 15 minutes.
