Recently, General Motors officially named its first plug-in hybrid SUV the Trailblazer Plus, which will be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the design style of Chevrolet’s SUV family, with a tough overall line, more like a mini Saab 9-5. The split headlights, honeycomb grille, and two-tone body still show Chevrolet’s youthful design style.
According to overseas model information, the new car is expected to offer two interior and exterior design styles: RS and ACTIV. One is sporty, the other is off-road.
When viewed from the side, the overall style remains very rugged, especially the design of the C-pillar and the dual-color design look very distinctive. In terms of dimensions, the overseas version of the car is 4653/1902/1667mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2730mm, widened by 51mm compared to the current US version. It is expected to still be defined as a mid-size SUV in the domestic market. In terms of space, referring to the overseas version, the trunk volume is 845L, expanding to 1799L when the rear seats are folded down.
In terms of interior design, the domestic version of the Explorer Plus is expected to be consistent with the overseas version, featuring an asymmetric center console design, an 11-inch LCD instrument panel, and an 11.3-inch multimedia screen.
In terms of intelligence, the new car is expected to be equipped with Xiaoxue OS car system and upgraded in driving assistance capabilities. In terms of power, the Trailblazer Plus is the first to apply SAIC General Motors’ new generation PHEV hybrid technology, and may also be equipped with fuel power. Meanwhile, Chevrolet’s first Oteneng pure electric SUV will also make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show.
