On March 31, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced that Xu Tiansheng, the director of business at Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., is currently under investigation for serious violations of discipline and law by the disciplinary committee of Dongfeng Corporation and the Supervisory Commission of Shiyan City, Hubei Province.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited is a Hong Kong-listed company with a market value of HK$27.1 billion. Its largest shareholder, Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited, is a central enterprise directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, holding nearly 70% of the shares of Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited. Public information shows that Xu Tiansheng, former vice general manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., is now the director of business of Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited.

In December last year, Tong Dongcheng, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Corporation, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and was investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Commission of Hubei Province. According to the “Clean Dongfeng” news, on March 21 this year, Hu Xindong, former Executive Vice President of Dongfeng Renault Automobile Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and was investigated. On March 19, Lv Weidong, Honorary Chairman of Dongfeng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and was investigated. On March 12, Chen Yafu, former Chief Professional Engineer of Dongfeng Light-duty Engine Co., Ltd., was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and was investigated. After the investigation, in accordance with relevant regulations, the suspected criminal cases were transferred to judicial authorities for review and prosecution. On March 27, Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd. held a leadership team meeting. Comrade Zhou Zhiping has been appointed as the Director, General Manager, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited by the decision of the Party Central Committee. He has been relieved of his duties as Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Committee of China First Automobile Group Limited in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
