Recently, carquality.com learned that the Beijing Yizhuang Xiaomi car factory will hold the first batch delivery ceremony of Xiaomi SU7 today. In addition, the first batch of founding models will also be delivered at 28 delivery centers nationwide. Xiaomi officials said that the founding models were all in stock and were newly produced around the time of the March 28th conference. The standard and Max versions of Xiaomi SU7 are expected to start delivery at the end of April, while the Pro version will have to wait until the end of May.
Xiaomi SU7 is positioned as a mid-size car, with a price range of 21.59-29.99 million yuan. The new car’s exterior design is very sporty and futuristic, with a highly recognizable “water drop” shaped headlight. Inside, it adopts a 4-lens + 12-pixel matrix ADB adaptive headlight group. In addition, there is a duct below the headlight group to help the brake system dissipate heat. The side profile of the car is dynamic and smooth, with a design technique that pays attention to the 3 times axle ratio, 2 times wheel height ratio, and 1.36 times width-to-height ratio. At the same time, elements such as the sloping roof design, frameless doors, frameless external rearview mirrors, and hidden door handles cater to the preferences of young consumers.
Officially stated, once users lock in their configuration, the factory will immediately begin production according to the set configuration. Consumers can check the approximate progress and estimated delivery time through the Xiaomi car app. Before finalizing the configuration, users can also view the estimated delivery period for each configuration combination on the page. Currently, the first batch of Xiaomi car stores covers 29 cities nationwide, totaling 59 stores. In addition, Xiaomi has selected 10 cities based on user demand to supplement sales, and they will open one after another within the year.
The new car is equipped with the 8295 chip and built-in Penglai OS system, which can be connected to the Xiaomi ecosystem. In terms of intelligent driving, the Xiaomi SU7 is equipped with 1 LiDAR, 2 NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips, with a computing power of 508 TOPS, all models support high-speed NOA, and urban NOA will be opened later.
In terms of power, the Xiaomi SU7 offers a choice between single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The single-motor version has a total power of 220kW, accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.28s, and has a top speed of 210km/h. The dual-motor version has a total power of 495kW, includes a Boost mode, accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 2.78s, and has a top speed of 265km/h. The new car is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery pack from Xiangyang Fredi and ternary lithium battery pack from CATL, with pure electric range of 700km, 800km, and 830km respectively.
