Since its release, the unique design style and powerful performance parameters of the Zhiji L6 have attracted a lot of attention. In fact, after experiencing the L7, LS7, and LS6 models, the aesthetic design of Zhiji can be traced. Simply put, L7 and LS7 share similar design language, while the new L6 has many connections with LS6.
Similar sporty design, prominent lines and flowing curves, many rounded elements, some say L6 is like a flattened LS6.
Compared to LS6, Zhi Ji L6 is a medium-sized sedan that leans towards sportiness. With a lower front end, streamlined sloping roof, and upturned rear end, the dimensions of 4931/1960/1474mm and a wheelbase of 2950mm are spacious but not overly large. Paired with iconic 20-inch petal-shaped wheels and upward-sloping taillights, it looks sporty and dynamic.
The interior of the new car is not as surprising as the exterior. The overall layout is similar to previous models. The large screen on the center console and the yoke steering wheel are still eye-catching. The new car is equipped with a Snapdragon 8295 chip, with optimized UI design and logic. The performance of the intelligent cockpit is expected to be improved. The new car has many industry-first features, such as using Unity rendering engine, IMAX-level theater experience, OMR light rendering model, and MR master transition effects. The actual effects will be experienced in the official version of the car.
Thanks to the 2950 wheelbase and targeted design, the Zhiji L6 as a coupe model has ample space, enough leg and headroom, and does not sacrifice seat length for rear space, ensuring comfort. In addition, to further enhance comfort, the Zhiji L6’s rear seat backrest has 8 layers of structure, with a 20mm Aeroride zero-pressure sponge layer, plus 6 levels of backrest adjustment, making it among the top in rear comfort for coupe models. Apart from its eye-catching appearance and interior, the Zhiji L6 also boasts a number of “black technology” features. It will be the first to use the industry’s first mass-produced “super fast charge solid-state battery 1.0”, with a capacity of 133kWh, allowing for over 1000km of CLTC range. Thanks to the Zhiji L6’s nearly 900V high-voltage platform, it can achieve a peak charging power of 400kW, allowing for a quick charge of 400km in 10 minutes. With the support of the silicon carbide hurricane motor, the four-wheel drive model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.74 seconds, with a top speed of 268 km/h.
Not only that, the smart L6 will also be the first to use the “smart digital chassis”, supporting rear-wheel steering, claiming to be able to “walk sideways” on the road and “move in place” in parking spaces with the “crab walking mode”. In terms of intelligent driving, according to the plan of the smart L6, it has already opened up NOA test drive experiences in 14 cities at the end of March, and will further achieve full-scale production of NOA by the end of June 2024.
