On April 8, the Zhiqi L6 officially debuted and started pre-sale, with a price range of 230,000 to 330,000 yuan (45620$). It is the first model in the industry to be equipped with a mass-produced quasi-900V fast-charging solid-state battery system, with a range exceeding 1000km, marking a milestone in the development of electric vehicles. In addition to long range, the new car accelerates from zero to one hundred in just 2.74 seconds and is equipped with rich features.
In terms of appearance, the Zhiji L6 retains the family-style design, with a front end that features a low drag closed design and streamlined lines and lights. The L-shaped lights take advantage of the design, making the front end look more dynamic and slender.
The target audience of Zhi Ji L6 is the more fashionable and dynamic young people, so its design is more youthful in many aspects. The design of the front bumper reflects this point perfectly. The C-shaped side air vent design is very appealing to young consumers, and the concave feeling also makes the front of the car look more layered.
The new car measures 4931x1960x1474mm and has a wheelbase of 2950mm. It is positioned as a midsize sedan. The new car will continue to use a sleek design and a lowered front end to reduce drag and enhance sportiness.
In terms of color, the Zhiji L6 has put in a lot of effort, offering 7 different options, including cool black, unique yellow, and girly pink, so that every consumer can find their own color. The new car will use 20-inch petal-style five-spoke wheels and black-gray color matching, paired with 275/35 R20 tires.
The rear end of the car showcases the family design style with distinctive lighting. The new model has a single-layer light strip which makes it look lighter and more playful. The sloping design of the trunk increases access and the bumper design complements the front of the car.
In terms of interior design, the Zhiji L6 maintains consistency with other models in the family, such as the half-wrapped steering wheel and the through-type horizontal screen. The new car will offer white and gray interior options for consumers. In terms of materials, the new car does not compromise at all, still putting more comfortable and luxurious materials on this new car.
Many people may not accept the half-wheel design, but it does have its benefits. It not only shows personality but also reduces the obstruction of the instrument panel, allowing drivers to observe vehicle information more clearly.
The central control of the Zhiji L6 is composed of a 26.3-inch continuous screen and a 10.5-inch touch screen. It may seem similar to other models in the family, but it has been improved internally. The screen retains the lifting function and uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip for enhanced computing power. The system also uses the new IMOS, allowing the intelligent cockpit to perform even better.
The central control screen below the continuous screen is the area responsible for controlling vehicle functions. This position is actually the best place for drivers to operate, and the angle of the entire screen is also very conducive for drivers to observe and control. This shows the thoughtfulness in the design of the vehicle. Although the air vents of the car are not designed to be hidden, the overall effect after flat processing is still very good. In addition, the use of a hidden design frees up space in the central aisle, where a wireless charging panel for phones, storage boxes, and cup holders are placed. In terms of seats, the Zhi Ji L6 still uses POPO cloud-feel seats, which are very comfortable overall. The seats are not only very full in material, but also achieve ergonomic perfection. The seats are equipped with electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and other configurations. The rear space is also very spacious, with good legroom and headroom. The floor is basically flat, and the use of a panoramic sunroof also relieves the feeling of oppression on the head. It is worth mentioning that the vehicle retains the expansion dock magnetic suction cup, allowing for expansion in the backrest, rear armrest, and other positions. In terms of power, the new car will offer single motor and dual motor versions. The maximum power of the single motor version is 216kW, while the dual motor version has maximum powers of 200kW and 379kW respectively. In addition, the Zhiji L6 will also be equipped with a 133kWh ultra-fast charging solid-state battery, the industry’s first mass-produced 900V ultra-fast charging solid-state battery system, with a range of over 1000km and an official 0-100 acceleration time of 2.74s. In addition to impressive powertrain performance, the new car will also come standard with the Lizard digital chassis technology, the first mass-produced car in China to achieve crab walking technology. Furthermore, the car will be equipped with rear-wheel steering, intelligent electronic shock absorbers, and air suspension to meet the needs of different driving scenarios. Summary: Currently, the car has only announced pre-sale prices: the Zhiji L6 Max Standard Edition, priced at no more than 230,000 yuan (31790$); the Zhiji L6 Max High Performance Edition, priced at no more than 299,900 yuan (41460$); and the Zhiji L6 Max Lightyear Edition, priced at no more than 330,000 yuan (45620$). From this pricing, it is clear that its competitor is the popular Xiaomi SU7. However, looking at the configuration, the advantages of Zhi Ji L6 are obvious. We look forward to seeing more technology from Zhi Ji L6 at the Beijing Auto Show.
