On April 17, the rendering of the first new energy MPV E08 under the Star Road was officially released. The new car was created by the design teams of Star Road Europe and Shanghai, interpreting a unique and luxurious fusion concept with a global design and vision. The concept car will debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show.
E08 continues the star road “aesthetic of the wind” design language and advances on it, perfectly blending the natural essence of Eastern culture with the elegance and luxury of Western aesthetics, dedicating beautiful life with enduring design, embarking on an inspirational journey towards the heart’s desire with a dazzling appearance. From the renderings, E08 adopts the One Box integrated design concept, with smooth and natural body lines, simple and pure surfaces, achieving ultra-low drag coefficient, bringing users lower energy consumption, higher range, and a more comfortable experience. The inspiration for the front face comes from the Star Era series “cyber butterfly” family design, this front face design, known as the “Phoenix Butterfly Face”, integrates the beautiful meaning of cocoon to butterfly into an elegant butterfly front face, embedding futuristic technological elements into classic design, deeply interpreting Star Road as a high-end new energy brand, born beautiful, starting from nature, and ending in comfortable natural aesthetics.
The side of the body has a subtle curved waistline, inspired by the horizon seen by astronauts, symbolizing the first light of a new era, and the endless yearning and pursuit of a beautiful life. The sculptural changes in light and shadow on the side are like the wind blowing over the sea, creating dynamic waves, interpreting the aesthetic of a luxurious yet free-spirited era.
Chery Design Center Vice President and globally renowned designer Steve Eum said that the E08 combines tradition with modernity, technology with art, creating a unique luxury concept that offers a comfortable and elegant driving experience. Every detail of the Star Journey E08 showcases the craftsmanship and impresses deeply. The design of the front grille is inspired by Western luxury chandeliers, blending modern technological innovation with traditional craftsmanship, exuding a romantic luxury in champagne gold. The double L-shaped headlights at the front and rear are the finishing touch of the E08, inspired by wind tunnel experiments, creating a “wind wings” lighting effect that resembles exquisite diamond facets, paying tribute to the pure shining natural beauty. The “wind trace taillights” resemble the graceful and beautiful wings of a butterfly taking flight, adding a mysterious and luxurious touch to the entire vehicle.
The design of the hub is inspired by the oriental symmetrical aesthetics, with two squares overlapping to form eight corners, smooth curves, crystal clear surfaces, symbolizing a stable and smooth ride, intelligent navigation, and every detail highlighting the VIP experience.
In addition, VIP super large door “black technology” can open directly to the third row, maximizing convenience for passengers to get in and out. More surprises will be revealed at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show Star Road booth.
