Within 24 hours of announcing the price, 88,898 units were sold. This shows Xiaomi’s popularity. Many people have joked that SU7 is being surrounded by Geely. Let’s compare the Geely Coolray 007 and the SU7 to see if Geely is surrounding Xiaomi or if Xiaomi is challenging Geely.
Xiaomi SU7 was officially launched on March 28th, with nearly 90,000 orders in 24 hours. The car offers 3 configurations, with a starting price of 21.59-29.99 million yuan. In terms of power, the Xiaomi SU7 dual-motor version has a maximum power of 673 horsepower, peak torque of 838 Nm, 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.78 seconds, top speed of 265km/h, and is equipped with a 101kWh NCM lithium battery from CATL, with a CLTC range of 800km. On the other hand, the Xpeng P7 was launched at the end of last year, with a current starting price of 20.99-29.99 million yuan. The car uses an 800V architecture, offering both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, with a maximum range of 870km and 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.84 seconds. Both cars fall within the same price range. In terms of appearance, the SU7 offers a variety of colors to choose from, while the Geely 007 AWD Performance Edition only comes in Kung Fu Yellow. The Geely 007 uses 20-inch wheels with Michelin PS 4S tires for better performance, and Akebono four-piston calipers with ventilated discs for braking. In terms of advanced driving hardware, the SU7 is equipped with laser radar, while the Geely 007 AWD Performance Edition at the same price point does not have this feature, instead, the AWD Advanced Driving Edition comes with laser radar. In terms of comfort features, the SU7 has electric suction doors throughout the vehicle, which the Geely 007 does not offer in this configuration.
In terms of interior design, both cars feature a simple design common in new energy vehicles. The Xiaomi SU7 uses faux leather + suede material with 4 color options available. The Jike 007 uses suede material with orange stitching, highlighting the overall interior texture. In terms of hardware performance, both have their advantages.
