In terms of appearance, the all-new BJ40 Knife Hero Edition adopts a more rugged design, showcasing the roughness and power of a professional off-road vehicle. Specially designed professional off-road suspension and chassis tuning for off-road scenes have increased the overall height of the vehicle by 20mm. The D-shaped windows and door handles have all been “blacked out”, combined with the standard metal skid plate, giving a fierce visual impact.
The roof design is a highlight of its appearance, the three-piece roof can be quickly removed and installed, providing users with more flexibility. The removable roof not only increases playability, but also provides greater survival protection for users in emergencies. In addition to the roof, the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches, etc., can all be quickly removed, further enhancing the vehicle’s modification space and playability. At the same time, it also comes standard with a 2.5 ton towing capacity and power outlet.
In terms of off-road performance, the new vehicle has a 38° approach angle, 36° departure angle, 28° ramp breakover angle, and a maximum wading depth of 800mm. The differential adopts an electronic control design, with faster and more accurate switching ability and stronger structural rigidity. The gear drive can resist the impact and torque changes during shifting, and the operation is more convenient, with the ability to lock/unlock anytime and anywhere. Compared to the Wrangler’s chain drive, it has better reliability and stronger impact resistance.
Equipped with a mature 2.0T+8AT powertrain, the maximum torque at the wheel end can reach 10250Nm, a 60% increase compared to conventional torque splitters.
