On April 25, 2024, the Beijing Auto Show is about to begin. It has been four years since the last show. Major car companies are showcasing their flagship models. Xpeng Motors not only brought their D9 and N7, but also unveiled a new flagship sedan, the Xpeng Z9GT.
The TSN Z9GT is positioned as an intelligent luxury flagship sedan. The “Z” in the name represents the TSN family sedan series, the “9” represents the flagship model, and “GT” directly interprets performance. Currently, only the exterior design of this car has been released, and we were fortunate to have a static experience of this car before the start of the auto show. In terms of exterior design, the Tengshi Z9GT adopts Eastern aesthetic design principles. The front face is simple and atmospheric, with a split-type headlight design that exudes a majestic aura. Although not using a continuous light group, the tall design still visually widens the vehicle and enhances its sporty feel.
The new car will come with two front bumper styles, one is smoother, while the one we are shooting today has more angular design. In addition, the new car cleverly integrates intelligent devices such as laser radar, AGS active intake grille, millimeter-wave radar, ACC assisted driving radar, etc., into the lower grille area, this design layout is very innovative.
The overall design style of the side of the body adopts the design of a coupe, making the overall shape of the vehicle look lower and more stylish. The dimensions of the body are 5180x1990x1500mm, with a wheelbase of 3125mm, positioning it as a D-class pure electric sedan.
A Z-shaped decorative line runs from the front fender to the rear of the car, adding depth to the overall body design and showcasing the unique style of the first sedan from Tengshi. The sleek design is also a signature feature of this car, with the C-pillar featuring a large cross-sectional design that emphasizes the sporty nature of the vehicle.
The new car will use 21-inch dual-tone multi-spoke wheels, paired with 255/40 R21 tires to balance comfort and grip. The current car we see does not have bright-colored brake calipers, but we believe it will be equipped with multi-piston bright-colored brake calipers after production.
The design of the rear of the car is aggressive enough, with the “hourglass” taillights and a decorative strip in the middle that complements the headlights perfectly.
