On the evening of April 23rd, on the eve of the Beijing Auto Show, Porsche held the Porsche Brand Night event at the Beijing Shougang Park, showcasing its full product lineup. The Taycan Turbo GT and the all-new electric Macan made their debut in China. The new Taycan variant and the electric Macan will be officially launched during the Beijing Auto Show!
The all-new electric Macan is Porsche’s second electric vehicle, developed on the PPE electric platform. The performance of Taycan Turbo GT is very powerful, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 2.2 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h with the assistance of Weissach components.
The intake design of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has been adjusted for a more aggressive look and improved aerodynamics.
The vehicle focused on lightweight design by optimizing body material and motor weight. Equipped with carbon fiber spoiler; Weissach package models achieve even more extreme lightweighting for better driving experience.
Taycan Turbo GT features all-digital instrument cluster and center screen, removes passenger entertainment screen, creating a pure driving atmosphere and sporty vibe. Interior focuses on driving experience, eliminates rear seats, uses carbon fiber for lightweight design. Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has front and rear dual motors, maximum power of 760 kW, maximum torque of 1300 Nm. Launch horsepower can reach 1034 hp. The all-new all-electric Macan is Porsche’s second electric vehicle series, developed based on the all-electric platform PPE. The new car continues many classic design elements of Porsche, and the split headlight design is also very distinctive.
The opening of the front trunk is very convenient, just double-click the unlock button on the key to open it. The storage space in the front trunk is large and organized, with items like a triangle stand and first aid kit integrated here.
On the side of the body, you can still see the shadow of the previous generation Macan, giving a spirited feeling, with the addition of an adaptive rear spoiler.
The interior maintains Porsche’s family design style, with three screens and an entertainment screen for the front passenger, along with some physical buttons. The seating position can be set lower for better driving posture. The vehicle also features AR head-up display equivalent to an 87-inch screen. In addition, the all-electric Macan is equipped with intelligent ambient lighting, which not only provides ambient lighting but also dynamic display effects for features such as driving modes, driver assistance systems, and door opening warning systems.
The rear space is average, the front space is just right for my height of 175cm, with more than a fist of legroom. The new all-electric Macan has increased headroom by 18mm, providing a fist’s worth of space. The trunk is spacious and well-organized, with storage compartments on both sides. Folding down the second-row seats creates even more space. The all-electric Macan 4 has a maximum power of 300kW and a maximum torque of 650Nm; the all-electric Macan Turbo has a maximum power of 470kW and a maximum torque of 1130Nm, with acceleration of 5.2 seconds and 3.3 seconds respectively. It can achieve a range of up to 784 km. The all-electric Macan is equipped with a new 800V electric platform, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes and has a maximum energy recovery power of 240kW, delivering powerful performance.
