On April 25, 2024, at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, CATL unveiled the world’s first lithium iron phosphate battery, the Shenxing PLUS, with 1000km range and 4C fast charging capability.
The Shenxing PLUS battery provides users with up to 1000 kilometers of ultra-long range, equivalent to driving from Beijing to Nanjing without needing to stop for charging. With this range capability, the Shenxing PLUS can easily meet the needs of daily commuting, intercity travel, and long-distance trips.

Godspeed PLUS uses granular level matching technology in the positive electrode, placing each nano particle in the right position to achieve ultra-high volumetric density; adding self-developed three-dimensional honeycomb-like material in the negative electrode to increase the energy density of the negative electrode and effectively control volume expansion during charging and discharging. In terms of battery cell structure design, Ningde Times has developed an industry-first integrated shell structure, significantly improving the internal space utilization of the battery cell, allowing the energy density of Godspeed PLUS battery cell to reach a new high. At the system level, Godspeed PLUS battery optimizes the topological structure based on the third-generation non-module technology CTP 3.0, fully utilizing the energy storage space, and increasing the volume grouping efficiency by 7%. With dual breakthroughs in materials and structure, the energy density of the Godspeed battery system has surpassed 200Wh/kg for the first time, reaching 205Wh/kg, making it possible for the vehicle to have a range of over 1000km. In terms of replenishment speed, Godspeed PLUS can replenish 600km of range in 10 minutes, achieving a “1 second per kilometer” super replenishment speed. It adopts technologies such as fast ion conductor encapsulation, transition metal doping, and new nano encapsulation to make energy transfer between positive and negative electrode materials easier and more efficient. In addition, by expanding the current flow area and current capacity of the pole, it ensures rapid cooling even during high current charging. In terms of BMS core algorithm, the latest developed AI intelligent polarization model can estimate and control the charging current in real time, making replenishment faster and smarter.
CATL announced the official launch of the Shenxing ultra-fast charging network, partnering with Huawei, Star Charge, Cloud Fast Charge, Shudao New Energy and other brands to build the largest ultra-fast charging service platform in China. CATL will also launch the industry’s first Shenxing car owner club. With over 600 offline physical service stores covering 31 provincial-level administrative regions and 271 prefecture-level cities, CATL will provide Shenxing car owners with road rescue, battery testing, maintenance and other comprehensive services.
