On April 25, Chevrolet Trailblazer Plus officially hit the market, with prices ranging from 14.99-17.99 million yuan. The models launched this time are the RS Sporty Edition and ACTIV Adventure Edition, with the main differences being in appearance and interior design. Chevrolet Trailblazer Plus is also Chevrolet’s first plug-in hybrid model, marking the official entry of Chevrolet into the new energy market.
The appearance of the Chevrolet Trailblazer Plus ACTIV Sport Exploration Edition adopts a family-style language, with a wider and more tense front end. The split-type headlight assembly is also a popular design now. Although it does not use a through-type lighting group, the overall recognition is still relatively high.
The front bumper of the ACTIV sport version features large chrome trim panels with a black grille, giving it a luxurious look. The RS sporty version, on the other hand, has a front bumper in the same color scheme with red RS logo on the grille, making it look more stylish and youthful.
In terms of body size, the new car is 4653x1902x1728mm and will offer 5 body colors, including two dual-tone options. The side profile is strong and powerful, with black trim on the doors and black painted accents. The family-style wing C-pillar and black D-pillar design are highly recognizable.
ACTIV model features a sporty and adventurous style, equipped with exclusive ACTIV accessories such as rock black accents, front grille with ACTIV emblem, large rock black bumpers, rock black badges, aluminum luggage rack, exterior mirrors, ten-spoke wheels, and optional 17-inch all-terrain tires.
The RS model is sporty with exclusive black accents, red badges, black grille, red plaques, black luggage rack, black mirrors, and 19-inch black wheels.
The rear of the car is designed in a very American style, with strong lines and new tail lights. The design of the two cars is similar, with differences in the rear logos.
In terms of interior design, the new car will feature a new 11-inch LCD instrument panel and an 11.3-inch floating dual screen, paired with an 8155 automotive-grade chip, supporting 5G network for online entertainment, navigation, phone connectivity, OTA upgrades, and app downloads to meet daily needs.
The multifunction steering wheel and air conditioning control panel use physical buttons to avoid possible misoperation. In addition, the cabin design of the new car focuses more on the driver, with the screen and control panel leaning towards the driver’s side for easy observation and operation.
Due to the use of the toggle shift method, the central channel position can be designed as a floating island style, which also increases the storage capacity of the vehicle. The floating island position is equipped with wireless charging for mobile phones, cup holders, and knob-style control rods, making it quite luxurious overall.
The new car’s seats are comfortable. The front seats have power adjustment and heating functions. The rear seating space is at a leading level in the same class. The flat floor design allows rear passengers to have a more comfortable seating experience.
Both cars use SAIC-GM’s new generation PHEV technology, with a 1.5T hybrid engine and a self-developed plug-in electric drive unit, as well as an Auten plug-in battery. They can achieve a pure electric range of 102km and 155km, with a total range of over 1000km and an acceleration time of 6.8 seconds per 100km. In summary, the Chevrolet Trailblazer Plus will launch two versions: the RS sport version targeting young and stylish drivers, and the ACTIV sport exploration version focusing on off-road performance.
