On April 25, 2024, the Beijing Auto Show opened. Dongfeng Fengshen L7 announced its prices. The new car has 5 models, priced from 12.89 to 15.69 million yuan. It is positioned as a compact SUV and the first model to be equipped with Mach electric hybrid. In addition, Dongfeng Yipai eπ008 started pre-sale, with a pre-sale price range of 200,000 to 250,000 yuan (34530$).
Now let’s take a look at the first model of Dongfeng Fengshen to be equipped with the Mach E-REV technology, the all-new Fengshen L7.
Dongfeng Fengshen L7 is positioned as a “long-endurance intelligent hybrid SUV” by the official. In terms of appearance, Fengshen L7 adopts the design concept of the light-year journey, with a closed grille and a through-type light strip design.
Looking at the side profile, the new car features a floating roof and a sleek coupe design, giving it a very dynamic look. The car also comes with hidden door handles and low drag wheels. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4685/1905/1625mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2775mm.
The interior design of the Fengshen L7 adopts the design approach of new energy vehicles, featuring a large suspended central control screen and simplifying a large number of physical buttons. The orange and black dual-color stitching is also very fashionable and dynamic. The Fengshen L7 is equipped with a 14.6-inch central control screen + 10.25-inch LCD instrument screen, as well as WindLink OS 3.0 smart cockpit and Qualcomm 8155 chip. It comes with built-in applications such as Amap and Changba, and supports full-scene 100% voice interaction, whole vehicle FOTA upgrades, etc.
In terms of power, the Fengshen L7 is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine + electric motor, with a total power of 265KW and total torque of 615N.m. The new car is equipped with a 30.2kW·h lithium iron phosphate battery, with a pure electric range of 205km and a total range of 1500km. Its NEDC fuel consumption is 3.8L/100km, and WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 0.56L/100km. In fast charging mode, it only takes 26 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. Dongfeng Yipai also brings the brand’s second product, the eπ008.
The eπ008 is positioned as a “family intelligent large SUV”. It has a length of 5002mm and a wheelbase of 3025mm. It adopts a 2+2+2 large six-seat layout and will offer two power options: pure electric version and extended range version.
The front face of the eπ008 features an intelligent starry sky grille that supports multiple dynamic display effects, paired with a through-type headlight composed of 536 LEDs. The D-pillar also has a charging indicator light, maximizing the vehicle’s technological attributes.
In terms of comfort, the eπ008 is equipped with a dual-use portable refrigerator, a 15.6-inch smart rear entertainment screen that supports “one-click flying screen” for front and rear rows, WANOS panoramic sound music cabin with 20 speakers, zero gravity seats, and 21-inch brand silent tires. The high-speed NOA navigation assistance driving system, which is an important part of the intelligent driving system, as well as functions such as 400-meter long-range memory parking, are also included. Features such as keyless Bluetooth key, 9.2-inch streaming rearview mirror, OMS gesture recognition + passenger recognition are also available. In terms of power, the eπ008 is based on the self-developed Dongfeng Quantum Architecture 2 platform, with a pure electric version having a range of up to 636km, and the extended range version with the Mach 1.5T hybrid engine having a comprehensive range of up to 1300km, with a fuel consumption level of 5.55L/100km. In addition, based on the Quantum Architecture platform, the hub motor technology supports 800V fast charging for the eπ008.

The vehicle has 37-inch oversized off-road tires, with a wheel torque of 20,000Nm and a vertical obstacle clearance of 430mm. The entire vehicle is equipped with many military-grade black technologies, using aerospace-grade carbon fiber materials.
