At this year’s Beijing Auto Show, the all-new Star Road MPV E08 concept car made its global debut. The new car was jointly designed by Star Road Europe and Shanghai’s two major styling teams, positioning it as a luxurious flagship MPV.
In terms of appearance, the front face adopts a closed design, continuing the aesthetic of the “Cyber Butterfly” family design. The front grille design is inspired by Western luxurious chandeliers, with a large diamond chandelier grille combined with sharp headlights on both sides, giving a strong sense of technology.
The E08 features a One-Box integrated design, with smooth and simple lines. The new car is equipped with hidden door handles and electric sliding doors that can open widely. The BCD pillars are all smoked black, creating a dynamic floating effect. The closed design is inspired by the “Dongfeng symmetrical aesthetics”, symbolizing stability and intelligence.
Arriving at the rear, the split-style taillight design is unique and eye-catching, echoing the front end. When lit up, it looks stunning and adds depth to the rear visually.
In terms of interior design, the E08 features a dual-layer screen with a half steering wheel, giving it a sophisticated look with a variety of materials.
It is worth mentioning that the second-row seats are zero-gravity seats that can rotate 180 degrees. The second and third-row passengers can face each other. There is also a double-sided, adjustable projection screen in the car for work and leisure.
Currently in the concept car stage, if the production version can retain these concept elements as much as possible, be strong in configuration and pricing, it has the potential to become a “dark horse” in the MPV market.
