At the just opened Beijing Auto Show, the second mass-produced car under the Polestar brand, the Polestar 07, made its debut. The new car is positioned as a mid-size coupe and will compete with models such as the Xiaomi SU7 and the Polestar 007 when it hits the market. The Polestar 07 is expected to begin deliveries in the second half of 2024.
The Geely 07 is the second model of the Geely family, continuing the design genes of the Geely family, with smooth and dynamic lines, harmonious proportions. The low drag wheels, small rearview mirrors, and hidden door handles help reduce wind resistance. The front face of the new car adopts a common closed design for electric cars, with a strong sense of unity in the front part. The ups and downs of the lines bring a good sense of three-dimensionality, and the smooth daytime running lights are very stylish.
The slender through-type taillights are simple and durable, with a Y-shaped design on both sides that matches the front headlights, providing good recognition. The rear also features a retractable electric tail wing, enhancing the sporty feel. Referring to previous information, the new car has a wrap-around interior design with colorful ambient lighting. The steering wheel has a semi-spoke design, and the interior is equipped with a through-type screen, creating a very minimalist atmosphere that is in line with current market trends. The Jueyue 07 is equipped with intelligent AI pixel headlights and voice functions inside and outside the car, allowing users to have personalized communication and emotional expression with the AI intelligent partner SIMO. In terms of intelligence, the Jueyue 07 excels with a large through-type screen, the 8295 chip, and a voice interaction system that supports AI algorithms. This means that owners will be able to enjoy a more intelligent and convenient technology experience. What’s even more valuable is that the Jueyue 07 will receive software upgrades in the form of monthly updates, ensuring that owners always have the latest and most powerful features.
The new car will still use a pure visual solution to create an intelligent driving system. Among domestic manufacturers, Jiyue is one of the few brands that do not rely on LiDAR and can achieve urban NOA. Compared to LiDAR, the pure visual solution has lower costs but higher software requirements. It is reported that the new car’s intelligent driving system can be used nationwide after it is launched. This is the second brand to officially announce unlimited operation of assisted driving in all regions, following Huawei.
In terms of power, the new car will use pure electric drive, with power parameters currently undisclosed. Referring to the Extreme 01, the single-motor version has a maximum power of 200kW. The dual-motor version has a maximum power of 400kW. In terms of range, the single-motor + 71.4kWh lithium iron phosphate battery CLTC comprehensive condition range is 550km. The single-motor + 100kWh ternary lithium battery full CLTC comprehensive condition range is 720km. The dual-motor + 100kWh ternary lithium battery full CLTC comprehensive condition range is 660km.
