Recently, Buick, a brand of SAIC General Motors, signed the first batch of new GL8 Avenir PHEV VIP car purchase agreement with Shouqi Rental. Shouqi Rental stated that the new GL8 Avenir PHEV purchased this time will mainly be used for VIP reception, providing important vehicle service guarantees for government and corporate display events and high-level meetings; some vehicles will also be used as long-term rental vehicles, providing high-quality and personalized travel services for powerful large and medium-sized enterprises.
Yang Junwei, General Manager of Shouqi Car Rental, said: “The Buick GL8 has always been the preferred model for Shouqi’s corporate clients. SAIC General Motors has been an important strategic partner of Shouqi for many years. The new GL8 Lusun PHEV better meets the needs of customers for business travel. While reducing the cost of car rental, it has once again upgraded in terms of luxury, comfort, and quality. We have also received inquiries from some customers, so we signed a purchase agreement with Buick at the first time.”
The all-new GL8 Land Commander PHEV is now available in six-seater and seven-seater layouts with three configurations and four models, all equipped with the Avia version, priced at 359,900 to 419,900 yuan (57950$). The new car is the first to adopt SAIC General Motors’ new generation PHEV intelligent electric hybrid system, with the longest range in its class of 1370km and an industry-leading acceleration level of 7.8s per hundred kilometers, achieving breakthrough upgrades in electrification, comfort, and intelligent experience.
