On the afternoon of May 1, a serious car accident occurred in the county town of Dayu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. A Tesla Model Y rolled over more than 10 times, causing severe damage to multiple vehicles. Several pedestrians were injured, and both the driver and passenger were also injured to varying degrees.

From the video on social media, we can see that the out-of-control Tesla is a Model Y that has not been registered yet. The car rolled over at high speed, sustaining severe damage. The front bumper is missing, the roof has collapsed, the right rear tire has come off the wheel, the hood is deformed and bulging, the front windshield is shattered, and the front airbags and side curtain airbags have deployed. Fortunately, the two people in the car were only injured.
The accident injured many pedestrians. In the video, at least two injured people are lying on the ground. One is lying on the green median, the other between two crashed cars. Many cars were severely damaged, some with crushed hoods, some with completely smashed fronts, and some with heavily deformed rear ends. The scene is scattered with flying car bumpers, body parts, and tires on the ground.
Da Yu County Public Security Bureau reported: At around 14:30 on May 1, 2024, a small ordinary bus collided with road facilities and parked vehicles on Nan’an Avenue in Nan’an Town, Da Yu County, due to improper emergency pedestrian avoidance. The accident resulted in 1 person seriously injured, 3 people lightly injured, and 9 vehicles damaged in the small ordinary bus, with no other casualties.
