On May 9th, the Xingtu Xingjier ET officially launched, offering pure electric and extended range power, positioned as a mid-size SUV. The new car has 8 models with prices ranging from 18.98-31.98 million yuan, including the extended range version priced from 18.98-22.58 million yuan, and the pure electric version from 22.98-31.98 million yuan. Xingtu Xingjier ET attracted attention from consumers during the previous Beijing Auto Show with its stylish appearance and luxurious features, gaining popularity. Additionally, the car recently completed a “31.9-meter high-altitude drop” and endurance challenge, showcasing its outstanding safety, practicality, and cost-effectiveness.
In terms of appearance, the new car will adopt a family design style with distinctive LED daytime running lights. The split-type headlights are high-tech and even feature interactive lights on high-end models for more interaction with pedestrians or vehicles on the road.
The new car will feature a fully enclosed front bumper design, effectively reducing the vehicle’s drag coefficient. The multi-layered design style also adds depth to the overall look of the front end. Two small air intakes are located below the bumper, primarily for cooling purposes.
In terms of body size, the Star Journey Star Era ET measures 4955x1975x1698mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm, positioning it as a mid-size SUV. The overall profile of the vehicle is more rounded, with a thick D-pillar extending backward, giving it a luxurious and imposing presence. This design makes the entire vehicle appear more solid and majestic.
The new car will feature electric retractable door handles and multi-spoke low drag turbine wheels, paired with 255/50 R20 tires to reduce drag and improve vehicle range. Additionally, the car will come with 19-inch wheels and 255/55 R19 tires.
The design of the rear end is very appealing, with rounded shapes and a continuous taillight design that enhances recognition. The dual-layer light strip, black base, and transparent lampshade all contribute to the sporty look of the vehicle. The rear bumper features a two-tone design, with a glossy black lower section and a rear spoiler that adds to the sporty feel. The electric tailgate is essential for easy access to items, and the low design of the trunk floor is a thoughtful touch.
In terms of interior design, the Star Journey ET embodies a minimalist design and technological attributes. It not only eliminates common physical buttons, but also leans towards a rectangular steering wheel that is very futuristic, as if we are driving a future warship. In terms of materials, the car also achieves a leading level, with a large amount of soft materials and suede leather adding a lot of luxury to the car.
Compared to traditional LCD instrument panel, the position of the instrument panel of the Star Journey Star Era ET is higher, which is convenient for drivers to observe and will not be blocked by the steering wheel. The dual motor version can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The new car will use CATL Shenxing super fast-charging batteries, with options of 77kWh and 100kWh, along with an 800V fast-charging platform. The single motor CLTC pure electric has a range of 625km and 760km. The dual motor all-wheel drive version has a range of 540km and 655km. The extended-range model is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with the model number SQRH4J15B, with a total power of 195kW and torque of 324N·m, accelerating from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds. It has a CATL Shenxing 32kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with an electric range of 200km and a total range of over 1500km, charging from 30-80% in 28 minutes. In terms of chassis, the new car will have an all-aluminum chassis, along with HDS hydraulic vibration isolation system, IAS intelligent air suspension, and CDC electromagnetic shock absorption system, providing a better driving experience and increasing its market competitiveness.
